Astypalea, Greece

For the past days, I had the opportunity to visit a Greek hidden gem, a very special place where people invite you to try their food, make you feel at home and are proud of being who they are. An island peculiarly hard to be reached, but worth every nautical mile of the way once reached. A land where sheep and goats are often spotted, where cheese is handmade and honey tastes like no other.

Astypalea has been one of those special places every step of the way. The food, the people, the scenery, the landscape, the traditions and culture make up for a destination yet to be discovered by many. And as I leave this unique island, I feel that now, pictures can be more than words, for this reason, here is Astypalea in photos:

A special thank you to the Municipality of Astypalia for kindly hosting and giving us the opportunity to discover and learn a little bit more about this special place.
