Since short term apartment rent was introduced to the tourism market, we travellers are the ones benefiting more with the accommodation options out there. I mean, how great it is to travel somewhere and have more space than a hotel room, get to enjoy having your own kitchen and appliances, experience the city as a local, and at the same time be able to pay a fair amount for it?
You all know that as much as we love staying in hotels, we are also very excited when it comes to self catering apartments. We love to be able to make our breakfast in the morning, or a nice homemade dinner while traveling. Recently, we had the opportunity to experience one of the cozy apartments of Révelton Suites, located in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, for two nights. Curious to know what we thought? Keep reading.
A review of Révelton Suites, Karlovy Vary
The location
Couldn’t be better! Near shops, supermarkets, and within walking distance to all attractions in town, and at the same time in a quiet area. Parking is possible in an underground 5 minute-walk from the building, with reduced fees for guests.
The apartment
We stayed in the Studio Pastel on the 3rd floor of the building, accessible by both stairs and elevator. We had a separate room and bathroom, and a kitchen conjugated with a living room. Other apartments have different settings and sizes, it all depends on what you’re looking for, ours had the perfect size for the 3 of us (me, W. and Enzzo).
The decoration is very light, serene and romantic. Everything clean and organized, easy to feel at home. As for amenities, wonder no more if you need to bring your hair dryer, here are some of the basics you will find in this apartment:
In the kitchen and living room: you have a stove, microwave, plates, bowls and glasses, pans and pots, dishwasher, fridge, table with high chairs, couch, TV, cleaning products and more. For your info, there is no oven.
In the bathroom: towels, towel heater, washing machine, shower gel and hair dryer.
In the room: closet, work desk, and a TV.
Others: Wi-Fi and Sat-TV.
There are two types of accommodations at Révelton Suites, one is a studio type (36 square meters) that accommodates up to 4 people, like ours, and the other is an apartment type (56 square meters), which are more spacious, and accommodates up to 5 people. The service
We were incredibly happy with the service, which is very attentive and organized. We were greeted by one of the staff when we arrived, and he showed us the apartment, explained a few details about it, as well as regarding parking, and provided us a few tips on what to do in the city with a map, and the best of all: he recommended some great places to eat, including an Italian restaurant where I had the best pasta this year!
They also have a house keeper to keep your apartment clean and tidy while you’re out enjoying the city.
